The mission of the National Registry of Medical Assistants is to advance the profession of Medical Assisting and to establish an impartial standard of qualification that employers can trust. NRMA also provides credential verification for all registered MA's.

Get Certified. NRMA offers an open path to Medical Assistant Certification. This means that any qualified MA can sit for our exam. There are no application denials if you meet these simple qualifications:
​
  • Age 18 or older at time of application.
  • Completion of an MA course or adequate work experience.
  • Provide valid personal ID.

Already Certified? Medical Assistants certified by a different national body can become NRMA certified and registered by taking the exam.
